As you may already know, holidays are a hard time for people living with mental disorders as some of us don’t have a family. We have either you have been kicked out, or our family has left us in tragic ways. It sucks but, please do get help if you become suicidal as my wife did over the Thanksgiving holiday, don’t delay as it will just make it worse. It bubbled up, and we ignored the signs until it was too late. I don’t blame anyone, but we learn this lesson for the future; don’t ignore symptoms of mental illness. We don’t believe in prayer, but they are noted if you guys do. I know we will be in your thoughts, I graduate in two weeks with my Bachelor’s Degree and Ashley is having a fantastic semester grade-wise. Don’t let your mental illness destroy your dreams, but sometimes it is time to get more help, go inpatient for a bit to get those meds adjusted or just to stabilize yourself. If you have a friend with a mental illness or just a lonely friend in general, invite them over, it will mean the world to them. As always if anyone needs to talk just email me!
