I’m gonna be completely honest with you, Republicans have not done a thing thing about mental health since winning the 2016 election. What we need is for politicians to take this crisis serious instead of putting it on the backs of the American people. Similar to the opioid epidemic that is sweeping the nation Donald Trump and his minions Have decided to just ignore the epidemic sweeping the nation and instead further enrich the good old boy’s club.
I can personally tell you that Donald Trump and his administration has been one of the worst presidents that we have seen for mental health and for all disabilities that are related to such. I would like to see a democratic wave in the 2018 elections that way we can have a proper checks and balances against his presidency because he does not represent the values of this nation. As a man with cerebral palsy I can honestly say that this president has let down all of the disability categories and especially the mental health aspects of our democracy. Donald Trump has not been there for the working class as he ignores those that are in need of help and instead he helps his rich friends.
I know that I am a pretty reliable liberal resource on the Internet but, I can honestly say that I have seen better from multiple administrations. George W. Bush at least try to do something with his Medicare part D expansion. The current president does not give a damn about what the populist opinion it’s about mental health. We need treatment options instead of massive tax cuts go to the wealthiest 1% of individuals in this country. Why do the working class voters have to suffer because of some rich guy or gal who wants to buy an extra plane. Have we become so cruel in this country that we look down on people who are struggling and reward those who have a silver spoon in their mouth? If so, why do we present ourselves with so much pain? Are we masochists? Are we nihilists?
I propose to the Internet or my blog readers that we implement some sort of universal healthcare system in this country. It has been successfully implemented in Canada, Norway, Sweden, and the rest of the developed world. Why can’t that not be implemented in the United States of America? Ask yourself why can we not have proper mental health treatment in this country? When Ronald Reagan and the rest of the conservative decided to kick all of the mentally ill folks out of the institutions in the 1980s out into the streets of America instead of treating them they created a crisis. The Republican Party must now own their responsibilities and pass a universal healthcare package or at least do something for mental help in this country. I wish that they would do at least something, allowing charities to take care of this problem has not worked as A form of funding.
So why do we keep trying this field approach? Why do we keep hurting millions of Americans each year? Why don’t we try to do something about this epidemic that is sweeping the country? There are many people that are suicidal or go to bed suicidal each night and it is an out rage to be a part of this country that doesn’t give a damn about citizens.
